The discourse about language teaching styles comprises a vast
number of books on applied language science. Educators were the first
to concern themselves with continuing research on language teaching
styles in order to come up with the most appropriate one. Perhaps the
basis of these efforts were their belief that styles is one of the most
important pillars of teaching, and that the success of teaching is tied-
to a great extent- to the success of the teaching style. The correct
style can amend much of what is wrong in the methodology, weakness
in the student, difficulty in the subject-matter and other teaching issues. This book therefore
aims to expound the different styles of teaching the Arabic language in a concise manner
whose main points are easily accessible to specialists, whether they are involved in teaching
Malay students or non-Malays. The book begins by clarifying certain notions that cause some
readers to fall into “teaching traps”. Then it turns to disclose the most prominent styles of
teaching Arabic, pointing out the strong and weak points of each, so that the instructor can
find a green light wherever the choice can be made. After that the book discusses the styles of
teaching the expert strengths of the Arabic language and their branches. The book concludes
with some of those points which the teacher should put into practice while teaching. I have
done all this in my belief that such a book will clarify the main points for teachers of the Arabic
language to non-native students, for the greatest service to Allah.

This book deals with three old and new themes related to Muslim wom-
an, attempting to resolve them in the light of stipulations as available
in the recorded sources of the Prophetic traditions. The first theme
is woman’s issues and their categories such as honor to woman in
Islam, and the issue of woman’s intellectual and religious deficiency.
The second theme concerns with the role of Female Companions of
the Last Prophet (s.a.w.) in preserving, conserving, and spreading the
traditions of the Last Prophet (s.a.w.). As for the third and the last
theme, it is devoted to identifying Muslim woman’s problems and suggesting their solution in
the light of the stipulations in the Prophetic traditions, such as husband’s rights over the wife
and the vice versa, rights of friends, working Muslim woman, and the problems faced by the
woman earning livelihood for the family.
