1.3 เสียงตัว r เชื่อมกับเสียงสระ (Linking 'r') กำรออกเสียงแบบ 2. เสียงหายไป (Sounds disappear)

อังกฤษ ตัว r ท้ำยค ำไม่ออกเสียง แต่ถ้ำค ำถัดไปเริ่มต้นด้วยเสียง ในกรณีที่เสียงตัว t หรือ d ไปอยู่ระหว่ำงเสียงพยัญชนะ 2
สระ เสียงตัว r ก็จะต้องไปเชื่อมกับเสียงสระ เช่น เสียง เรำไม่ออกเสียงตัว t หรือ d นี้ เช่น

Car owner I'm going nex(t) week.

My hair is black That was the wors(t) job I ever had!
He became an expert after a year of study. Jus(t) one person came to the party!
