lassic Woodworking opened its doors in 2006 in Ephrata, Penn-
sylvania. It wasn’t until 2009, however, that current president
C Leonard Martin came on board.
Martin got an early start in woodworking. Martin’s dad was a custom
chair-maker and also had a lathe to create custom wood turnings. At
14, Leonard began helping his father, running the lathe himself and
experimenting in crafting his own miniature chairs.
Martin recalls, “Some of my earliest memories are being in my dad
and grandfather’s woodworking shops.”
