Next up was Ciuffo Cabinetry,
a company that does high-end
residential work. A few interesting
takeaways: The company guaran-
tees finish for “life,” has multiple
CNC machines so they can keep
working if one goes down, and
everything is on wheels.
Gary Ciuffo talked a lot about pro-
viding pricing estimates up front
and getting a 10 percent deposit
before doing any design work.
INTO THE CITY
On Day 2, we headed into the Big
Apple to take in two New York
showrooms.
First stop was transFORM’s
7,000-square-foot showroom in
Manhattan, an impressive space
filled with vignettes that show how
a finished transFORM project will
look and feel. Since they special-
ize in closets and custom storage
throughout the home, their show-
room featured a little bit of every-
thing they offer. One of the owners,
Andreas Messis, graciously gave us
a personal tour of the space.
We finished up the New York
event at Hafele America’s new
showroom for their Oktoberfest
gathering. The hardware
distributor recently opened a new
New York City showroom location
featuring the latest in LED lighting,
kitchen organization, architectural
sliding, functional hardware and
much more. The Oktoberfest
was extremely well-attended and
featured prize giveaways along with
German food and beverages.
