Innovating the Way
EHAU is bringing innovation to woodworkers by providing them new surface
products while leading the modern design trend. REHAU offers decorative
R surfaces as laid up boards with matching edgeband or as custom-sized cabinet
door components.
Founded in 1948 in the Bavarian town of Rehau, the company successfully
identified many opportunities to replace traditional materials with more effective,
polymer-based materials. Today, the company provides its systems and services to
the world’s leading brands through four divisions—Automotive Solutions, Construc-
tion Solutions, Industrial Solutions and Furniture Solutions. The Furniture Solu-
tions division manufactures Edging Solutions, Surface Solutions and Cabinet Door
Solutions. With all that going on, it is crucial to have a talented team of professionals
behind the scenes.
At the core of the global REHAU Group are the sons of the company’s founder,
Helmut Wagner. Jobst Wagner is the President of the Board of Directors and Dr. Veit
Wagner is Vice President. Their team includes Christian Fabian, who is the CEO
of REHAU Americans and Thomas Troeger, who is the Vice President of Furniture
Solutions for REHAU Americas. Altogether, they are leading the way with innova-
tive techniques that make their brand impossible to overlook as they have exceeded
business milestones.
An edging supplier for many years, REHAU has systematically expanded its
role within the woodworking community by providing the latest technology solu-
tions to its customers. In the last 10 years, the company introduced ABS and Poly-
propylene edgeband manufacturing to its Montreal plant, and then expanded during
2014 by adding in local production of REHAU LaserEdge™ that is optimized for
laser, hot air, plasma and NIR edgebanding machines.
With group headquarters in Europe, the company is consistently observing
new trends as they begin development in Italy and Germany then spread to other
markets. Recently, one of the most distinct trends has been the increasing popularity
