E-GATES
Easing the entry and exit
process for resident
expatriates through the
Hamad International Airport,
the Ministry of Interior has
activated e-gate services on
their ID cards and passports
free of charge.
This service can be
accessed by resident
expatriates with ID cards and
their children above 18 years
without the need for prior
registration. They are
required to scan the ID card
on the card reader machine
installed at e-gate followed
by fingerprint or eye scan
(retina scan). If the data on
the ID and biometrics/ retina
match, the system will open
the gate.
