            Mount Pleasant Townswomens Afternoon Guild

We meet in the Bradpole Road Community Centre at 2pm on the 1st Wednesday of every
month for a social afternoon, when we have different activities including a speaker, and
we welcome visitors who we hope may join us and become members of TG.
Our other activities include Trampers & Eaters (when we visit nearby places of interest
and end up with lunch), skittles, a music afternoon (all sorts) and a Social Studies
afternoon when we reminisce and discuss any current subjects of interest.

An elderly lady called an airline customer-service desk asking
if she could take her dog on the plane. She was told she could but
would have to pay for the hire of a special cage for the dog to travel in.
She asked how much that would cost. The assistant explained that the
costs varied depending on the size of the the cage and that it needed
to be large enough for the dog to stand up, sit down, turn around, and
roll over. The poor lady was quite upset and said: “I’ll never be able
to teach him all of that by Saturday!”
                                  ...................................
A talking sheepdog gets all the sheep in the pen, and reports back to
the farmer: “All 40 accounted for.” “But I only have 38 sheep,” says the
farmer. “I know,” says the sheepdog. “But I rounded them up.”
