• Various sports organizations started to recognize the necessity

of fighting against doping.

• Participation from representatives of governments,

intergovernmental and non governmental organizations, the

International Olympic Committee (IOC), the International

sports federations (IFs), the National Olympic Committees

(NOCs).

• The First World Conference on Doping in Sport was held in

Lausanne, Switzerland o 1999.
