          Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, who is considered the founder of the system of alternative
          medicine called Homeopathy. The year 2021 marks the 266th birthday of Hahnemann. The theme of the
          conference is “Homoeopathy – Roadmap for Integrative Medicine”
        f  The International Day of Human Space Flight is observed globally on April 12 every year. The UN General
          Assembly passed a resolution on April 7, 2011, had declared April 12 to be celebrated as International Day
          of Human Space Flight.
        f  National  Safe  Motherhood  Day  is  observed  on  April  11  every  year.  The  day  also  marks  the  birth
          anniversary of Kasturba Gandhi, the wife of the father of Nation Mohan Das Karam Chand Gandhi.
        f  Every year, April 11 is observed as World Parkinson's Day to raise awareness of Parkinson's disease, which
          is a progressive nervous system disorder. The day marks the birthday of Dr James Parkinson from London,
          who was the first person to systematically described the six individuals with the symptoms of Parkinson
          Disease.
        f  The World Chagas Disease Day is observed on 14 April to raise public awareness and visibility among
          people about Chagas Disease (also called American trypanosomiasis or silent or silenced disease) and the
          resources needed for the prevention, control or elimination of the disease.
        f  Ambedkar  Jayanti  (also  known  as  Bhim  Jayanti)  is  an  annual  festival  observed  on  14  April  to
          commemorate the birth anniversary of Babasaheb Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar who was born on 14 April
          1891.
        f  The International Turban Day is celebrated every year on April 13 since 2004 to bring awareness of the
          strict requirement on Sikhs to put the turban as a mandatory part of their religion. The 2021 Turban Day
          marks the 552nd birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev and the festival of Baisakhi.
        f  The World Voice Day (WVD) is celebrated globally on April 16 every year to demonstrate the enormous
          importance of the voice in the daily lives of all people. The theme of 2021 is ONE WORLD|MANY VOICES.

        f  World Hemophilia Day observed globally on 17 April every year. This day is observed to raise awareness
          for hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. The theme for 2021 World Hemophilia Day is “Adapting to
          Change: Sustaining care in a new world”.

        f  World Heritage Day observed globally on 18 April every year. The day is observed to raise awareness
          about the cultural heritage that we see around us. This year's theme “Complex Pasts: Diverse Futures”
          reflects on the need to acknowledge global calls for greater inclusion and recognition of diversity.

        f  World Liver day is observed on the 19 April every year to spread awareness about the second largest
          organ in the body. The liver is the second largest and the most complex organ in the body, with the
          exception of the brain. Liver diseases can be caused by hepatitis A, B, C, alcohol and drugs. Viral Hepatitis
          occurs due to consumption of contaminated food and water, unsafe sexual practices and drug abuse.

       f  UN Chinese Language Day is observed globally on April 20 every year. The day has been chosen to pay
          tribute to Cangjie, who is a mythical figure who is presumed to have invented Chinese characters about
          5,000 years ago.

       f  World Creativity and Innovation Day is observed globally on 21 April every year. This day is celebrated to
          raise awareness around the importance of creativity and innovation in problem-solving with respect to
          advancing the United Nations sustainable development goals, also known as the “global goals”.
       f  In India, 'Civil Services Day is celebrated on April 21 every year. It is a day to appreciate the tremendous
          work done by officers engaged in public administration, in various departments of the central and state
          governments.
