• • • Adoption feature A FAIRYTALE ENDING FOR ELLY
Her skin was in a shocking condition and
she looked like she had more litters than
her body was meant to handle. She was
only 4yrs old. Then I saw the photo of her
7 months later and what a transformation.
I couldn't believe how she had improved,
the team at Monika's DoggieRescue really
did an amazing job getting her to where
she is today. I couldn't stop thinking about
her and after a day or so I emailed Monika
in the hope that we could go to NSW and
adopt her and so our journey began. We
booked flights and accommodation and
before we knew it we were off to NSW.
AFTER ARRIVING IN SYDNEY WE DROVE
TO INGLESIDE FIRST THING THE NEXT
MORNING. We introduced ourselves and
Monika went to get Elly for us. Our girls
were very excited, it was like they knew her
already! Then there she was, we were all
smiling! Our girls were calling her, Elly!
Elly! After our meet and greet we took her
for a walk and all went well, she had a
beautiful nature with our children and they
loved her to bits. Tony and I were very
happy with her. We visited her every day
we were there and took her out with us for
Elly’s Journey to a a walk to a cafe where she was very well
behaved.
New Life Begins!

In May this year we lost our beautiful little Staffy Roxy to cancer,
she was 14yrs old. She was given to us by someone who had
been trying to find a home for her. She was mistreated by her
previous owner. We said we wouldn't rush into getting another
dog as its never easy losing a pet.
A COUPLE OF MONTHS PASSED AND I STARTED TO LOOK AT
WEBSITES AT OTHER RESCUE GROUPS. I found one in Victoria but it
had been adopted. I saw Monika's Doggie Rescue in NSW and was
sad to see so many dogs without loving homes. This is when I saw
the photos of this beautiful little girl Elly. I couldn't believe how sad “ Elly waited patiently on the tarmac
she looked, her eyes said it all. I don't think I've ever seen a dog look for her flight to Melbourne and her new
