• MEMORIAM MEMORIES OF A VERY SPECIAL GIRL By Jack Howard
PEANUT ‘NUTTY’ BENSON HOWARD 2006 –2019
Peanut, you were the best dog in the world. Every single second of every single day, you loved us, and we loved
you. You brought joy to our lives for nine and a half years, and even though its painful to lose you, I don't regret a
second I spent with you.
You came into our lives on September Ninth, 2009, 09/09/09, and you left us today March 23 2019. That's 3,482
days you were there with us. 3,482 walks, 3,482 different adventures you were able to join us for. 3,482 days you
made better. When Monika's DoggieRescue saved you from the pound, you were due to be put down that day, so
every day after was a bonus, and you lived like you knew it. You loved us as soon as you saw us, and we loved
you back. We knew you were the one, and you knew we were the ones for you, and on the drive to your new
home you fell asleep with your head on my knee. You did that again today.
I didn't want to let you go, but I knew it would only be selfish to keep you alive just for my sake. You couldn't
breathe on your own any more, we couldn't take you home even if we wanted to. I'm glad that at least I had the
proper chance to say my goodbyes over the last week. I'm glad I was able to tell you what a good girl you've
been. I'm glad that we were able to give you the best life that a dog could wish for.
I'm glad my last words to you were "I love you." Because I do, and I always will. Sleep well Peanut. Jack
