ADOPTING A CAT/KITTEN
FROM BLACKTOWN POUND

Dear Friends,

Blacktown Animal Holding Facility (aka Blacktown Pound) is
located at 415 Flushcombe Road, Prospect, in Western
Sydney. It houses cats, dogs, and livestock on a temporary
basis. Animals can be adopted from the pound. As this page
is devoted to the cats in the pound, let's talk about the cats.

• Cats and kittens that ARE micro chipped before they
enter the pound must, by law, be held by the pound for
14 days before they may be sold. This is to permit their

parents time to find them and reclaim them.

• Cats and kittens that ARE NOT micro chipped at the
time of entry must, by law, be held for 7 days before

they can be sold.
