AUGUST 2015 RESCUECATS E-MAGAZINE                                                                                3

During the holding period a person wishing to adopt a cat may submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). These are
collected by the pound on a "first come, first served" basis. The first to submit an EOI has the first right to
adopt. Should that person choose not to do so, the pound contacts any other person who placed an EOI in the
order the EOIs were placed.

                           Male kitten/cat up to 2 years - $140 ($109 to pensioners);

As of 1 July 2015 the pricing Male cat between 2-6 years - $110 ($79 to pensioners); and

for cats and kittens adopted Male cat over 6 years - $90 ($59 to pensioners).

from BAHF depends          Female kitten/cat up to 2 years - $160 ($129 to pensioners);
on the age and sex of the Female cat between 2-6 years - $130 ($99 to pensioners); and
animal, as follows: Female cat over 6 years - $110 ($79 to pensioners).

A cat or kitten purchased from Blacktown Pound comes desexed, micro chipped, vaccinated (1st F3) and lifetime
registered.

PLEASE NOTE: If the cat you wish adopt is not desexed/vaccinated at the time you submit an Expression
of Interest or alternatively, tell the pound staff that you want to adopt it, the cat CANNOT leave the pound
but must first be desexed and vaccinated. That can usually be done in the days following your purchase
of the cat. Cats that are already desexed and vaccinated may leave the pound immediately.

UNFORTUNATELY THE BLACKTOWN POUND DOES NOT HAVE TO HOLD THE CATS/KITTENS UNTIL THEY
FIND A HOME. Cats or kittens that have completed their mandatory holding period are "due out" and if not sold or
rescued by a rescue group, may be put down by the facility. If they are taken by a rescue group that group is then
responsible for rehoming the cat. We, clearly, try to prevent cats from being put down by advertising for homes!

A wonderful supporter of RCP, Peter Hoskins, has donated all this food to the pound! As you can see, we have
already emptied all the goodies into the food storage containers in the Cattery. To everyone who has donated
this month thank you all so very much from the kitties —you are simply amazing:)
