5. Using your protractor, measure the angles A to
D.
You will discover that A is equal to C and B is equal to
D. This is a result of having parallel lines – in the
diagram you will notice a number of angles at each
intercept is the same.

Drawing parallel lines using your compasses.
1. Draw a horizontal line 12 cm long.
2. Mark a point above the line where you want
your parallel to be.
