“Diwan Zayed”
To His Highness Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum
We chose the poem among the pages of the “Zayed” Diwan
of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,
Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of
Dubai, may Allah protect him. It carries the values of love,
chivalry, wisdom and magnanimity. These are the values of
Zayed, may Allah rest his soul, the values and ethics of a
wise man, a leader and a man of eloquence that is always
present with the transcendence of meaning, the purity of the
language and the intelligence of the idea.
The poem begins with mentioning Zayed ... he mentioned his virtuous
qualities, his courage and audacity in a smart creative process in which the
eloquent meets the Nabati.
I mentioned Zayed and the time began to return
My eyes meet in Zayed’s face its needs
His face is imbued with honor that does not disguise
As a free detector of his catch, doesn’t wrong it.
