To live day by day isn’t easy. Sometimes in the middle of
the program a student will come to me with ‘I’m not sure I
want to do this, it’s difficult.’
When you’re struggling you lose sight of why you began
in the first place. I remind them, ‘Don’t forget that you
want this, and it’s ok to want something that is difficult.
All students struggle with motivation at different times in
their studies. Students who have made sacrifices to be
here need to be reminded of what brought them initially.
Even in moments of burnout the reminder of ‘I want this for
a reason’ can break through that mental block.”
| HOW DO YOU SUPPORT HAREDI STUDENTS IN
DISCOVERING THEIR PERSONAL POTENTIAL?
“I use a lot of concepts from the Jewish world to motivate
them from a familiar place. Concepts of Tefilah (prayer)
and Moshiach (Messiah). For example, we pray to G-d for
the rebuilding of the Temple — something that, at many
levels, is an overwhelming challenge.

Every person has a dream, but he might be made to feel
that he isn’t allowed to talk about the technicalities of
how to get there, or even allow himself to consider the
possibility that the dream could be realized.
Just as in prayer, it’s permissible – and even instrumental –
to consider the dream a reality. The seemingly impossible
and out of reach, becomes tangible.
Prayer grants a moment to visualize a dream and break
it down into steps, recognizing obstacles, strengths, and
simply wanting. In prayer, the overwhelmingly impossible
has a chance to become reality. Prayer allows space for
belief to become intention.
When you break it down you can see what is realistic and
what isn’t.
These students have the framework and it’s up to the
individual to decide what to do with it. It isn’t ever a
question of ‘is this right for you,’ it’s a question of ‘what’
is right for you? JCT recognizes the path of the individual,
while providing tools to ensure a smooth journey.”
| A LASER-FOCUSED EFFORT TO REVOLUTIONIZE SKIN
REJUVENATION TREATMENT
Laser Team Medical Ltd (LTM) presents a patent-
protected, state-of-the-art laser cavity that

Salman Noach, and developed on the Lev Campus, LTM
is developing a revolutionary laser as a pain-free, skin
rejuvenation treatment for all.

The current industry-standard laser is incapable of
penetrating scar tissue and can be problematic when
it comes to sensitive surgeries. It also cannot permeate
heavily pigmented skin thereby excluding many
potential surgical candidates.
Prof. Noach and his team have been working to refine
the laser with a view to improving its performance,
enlarge the scope of treatments, accelerate procedure
and recovery times, and ultimately change the face of
nano-laser technology on a global scale.
Working closely with Galil Ofek, a unique medical
technology incubator that identifies innovators and
early-stage start-ups, this disruptive technology
promises to shape the future of the healthcare industry.
The company has successfully implemented the
innovative laser on an optical bench and is now testing
the laser on human skin. Having completed pre-clinical
tests with outstanding results, the team is awaiting
funding to progress to the next stage of clinical testing.
The nano-laser promises to have a deep impact on
sensitive procedures in the fields of dermatology,
neurology, ophthalmology, gynecology, and more.
