For kids: Popsicle for
curing illness

When kids have a sore throat or flu and it is a
downcomer for all family. Not only they demand all
the wrong things like icecream at that time more, but
you cannot expose them to other children as well. Its
a bumer for the kids and adults alike. The available
medicine in market for throat are not suitable for
smaller kids, in such case the best remedies are home
made with items like honey and tea (Joshanda). But
it may be a bit hard to force them to take these. So,
there is an easier way.. turn it into a ice lolly and they
would happily lick them in.
Here are detailed instructions for sore throat curing
popsicle:
Brew one tea bag as directed on the tea (Joshanda).
While the tea is hot add in one tablespoon of pure
honey, so that it is easily mixed in hot water. You can
also add half a sugar.
Once it has been cooled you can add 8 oz. lemonde if
you have any to add more flavor.
Let it cool and add in 8 oz. of lemonade. Stir the
mixture and now its ready to be made into popsicles.,
For more fun you can ask children to pour the
mixture in the popsicle mold (if they are old enough
to do it of course). Then place the popsicles in
freezers. Once frozen give it to them, this will heal
their throat and be fun for them as well.
Alternate natural recipes for FLU cures:
- Starberry + Kale + Thyme
- Lime + Honey + Ginger root
- Elderberry juice
- Lemon + Honey + Cherry juice
- Ginger-Garlic + Orange (great for immunity)
And you can even use it for other cases like when
children are vomiting and dehydrated, why not
freeze pedialyte (ORS) and then make it in to a fun
posicle for them to suck on. :)
