While Brother Reed was our Grand Secretary the Fraternity grew from 113 members in 1858 to 9,880
in 1905, and from 4 Lodges to 137. No inconsiderable part of this growth was due to his vision, his steady
labor toward a defined goal and his mastery and practice of the Masonic philosophy.
