spiritual ideal that can be attained while living within the
human experience. The MasterPath’s interest is to assist
the student in transcending the ills and woes of karmic
experience by rising above mind and matter, affording one
a freedom from all binding conditions, whether physical,
emotional, or mental. it bestows upon one the lofty qualities
of power, love, and wisdom, and graces the soul with the
attainments of illumination, enlightenment, and Self, Spirit,
and God Realization. Correspondingly, the MasterPath
furnishes the means by which the aspirant can surmount
all retrogressive tendencies and desires, as well as freeing
one from dependence upon any external props or crutches.
MasterPath teaches moderation in all things rather
than the rigid and unbending edict of total abstinence, and
in this way, the rise in consciousness from the human con-
dition into the spiritual states is accomplished in the most
natural way. This ascension in states of consciousness
from the lowest to the highest is utterly free of the need
for external observances or endless mental reaffirmations.
Fasting, strict adherence to ascetic practices, and the per-
formance of difficult asanas, or postures, hold no practical
value in the spiritual ascension of soul. Strict moral codes,
ceremonies and rites, and rigorous incantations are also
considered pointless, for the soul is completely neglected
in such practices, meaning that no real and lasting elevation
of the spiritual energies can take place.
These above-listed practices, although having relative
value to many, do not serve the ultimate objective that a
true spiritual seeker aspires to attain. These lower boons
and self-imposed disciplines merely serve the means and
never the end, for they are, at best, moral recommendations
created by human beings. if these aforementioned observ-
ances were literally fail-safe, the world at large would be
filled with enlightened beings; however, this is the rare
