to cover the stripe, an additional power supply unit and a
controller are required for installation - with or without the
option of dimming the LEDs, depending on the require-
ments and design of the LED strip. In the chapter on power

When fully equipped, LED stripes thus offer flexible control
over lighting and room moods - from changing light colours
to adjusting the light intensity according to the time of day.
Whereas for 1-channel stripes a simple switch [on/off] is
sufficient, multicoloured light stripes can be conveniently
controlled from a smartphone using a radio remote control
as well as apps.
