Role Play

workers to watch it.
5. Discuss what activities you do regularly and what you did yesterday.

It’s Lunch Time
Ms. Sato and Michael want to have lunch and they need to check the restaurant’s
business hours.

Sato: Why don’t we have (lit., eat) lunch?
Hiru-gohan o tabemasen ka.
昼ご飯を食べませんか。
Michael: From what time is lunch served?

Ranchi wa nan-ji kara desu ka.
ランチは何時からですか。

Sato: It’s from 11 to two every day.

Mainichi jū-ichi-ji kara ni-ji made desu.
毎日１１時から２時までです。

Michael: What time do you go?
Nan-ji ni ikimasu ka.
何時に行きますか。

Sato: I go around 12, but come back by one.
Jū-ni-ji goro ikimasu kedo, ichi-ji made ni kaerimasu.
十二時ごろ行きますけど、一時までには帰ります。
