With two existing floor-to-ceiling sash windows, plus
a large bay window, fireplace and three doorways
to accommodate, wall space for kitchen cabinetry
was severely limited. To counteract this, the layout
is arranged around a generous island, with two large
dressers acting as storage for small appliances and
dinnerware. This allowed the only uninterrupted wall
to be dedicated to Claire’s beloved Aga, which forms
a focal point befitting a country farmhouse kitchen.
