Sundays are observed as religious legal holidays. The day approved
by law for the holding of a general election is also a legal holiday.
On these days, shops and movie theaters are open but banks and
government institutions are closed. Individual cities and towns
also have public holidays to celebrate their own patron saints
and foundation day anniversaries.
