2. Meet and Greet
• It is usual in the Philippines to shake hands on meeting and
parting company. Female friends and relatives may kiss each
other on both cheeks when doing so. For men, this is seldom
done, particularly for a majority of the people, but it is sometimes
a practice in the higher echelon of the society. When taking leave,
it is also polite to say “take care” and “let see each other again”,
i.e. mag-ingat ka and sige, sa muling pagkikita.
