John received his bachelor’s degree from the University of
Mississippi and post-graduate in interior design from the Art
Institute of Atlanta. His experience designing the interiors of
some of Atlanta’s most prestigious homes is complemented by
more than 10 years work on major home renovations in the
Buckhead community. The Cathedral Antiques Show has had
the benefi t of featuring John’s homes twice on its ever-popular

Cathedral Tour of Homes. John’s advice is to give a room a
dressy casual look, introduce antiques sparingly, then pair with
transitional fabrics that aren’t staid, and add contemporary art
or furniture.

A communicant of the Cathedral since 1979, John has worked
tirelessly year after year with the Cathedral Antiques Show to
fi nd fabulous tour homes and speakers. He is a delightful person
and a talented designer. The 2020 Cathedral Antiques Show is
proud to recognize John as our 2020 Honorary Design Chair!
