WISH YOU
WERE HERE?
…Perhaps not. These post-card scenes of everyday life seem
harmless enough, but look more closely; unseen disasters
are just waiting to happen in the most unexpected of places.
These deathtraps for the unwary aren’t just lurking around
the corner—they’re on the beach, in the kitchen, in your
classroom… As the saying goes—be prepared!
Cliffhanger
High ledges and skateboards
really don’t mix well. Take heed
of any warning signs… if you’re
not riding along too fast to
miss them, that is.
The chair
Rip-off! Are you an avid chair tilter?
Let’s hope that cat can swim! Just wait until it slips and
Beware of strong currents (rip you end up on the floor with
currents) that rip along beneath a sore head and bruised ego.
the water’s surface. They’ve carried
this rubber ducky right out to sea.
Rocky times
Don’t be left high and dry
and crabby! Waders should
keep a beady eye open for
the incoming tide so as not
to get cut off from the shore.
Sink or swim
As its name suggests, quicksand
doesn’t allow much time
to react, and the more you
struggle, the deeper you sink.
Lie flat and try to “swim” out.
Broken glass
Like the feel of sand between your
toes? Be careful those bare tootsies
don’t get cut on broken glass—you
never know what else might be
lurking among the golden grains.
