Despite centuries of fame as
a tourist destination, there’s a

especially Lago di Como with its
mountainous amphitheatre of snow-
capped Alps. One of the best ways to
see it is to walk the old mule tracks.
There are some easy walks with
fabulous views around Brunate. Pick
up a map showing the trails from the
Como tourist office.
