Star Wars gets tipped
for Toy of the Year

prestigious 2020 Toy of the
Year awards, where Star Wars toys have
once again made the shortlist.
Since 1916, The Toy Association has
given support to the U.S. toy industry,
and every year it takes stock of the best
toys to have been released over the
previous 12 months. This year, three
Star Wars toys have made the fi nals.
Hasbro’s D-O Interactive Droid from
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
is nominated for Vehicle of the Year (we
know, but as an R/C toy, the cheeky
droid checks out!), while the Star Wars:
Galaxy’s Edge Droid Depot Custom
Astromech Units by Disney Parks are
shortlisted for Creative Toy of the Year.
Finally, LEGO fans will be pleased to
learn that the LEGO BOOST Star Wars
Droid Commander set is in the running
to win STEM/STEAM Toy Of The Year.
Votes close on January 11, so there’s
