        Five pavilions, each unique and admirable on their own, hold inside an incredible
        wealth of fine art, spanning many centuries and highlighting some of the top
        Canadian and international artists of their time. From romantic portraits by Dutch
        masters to smooth Inuit sculptures, this museum is a must for any art lover.
        Archaeology and World Cultures
        Reflecting the richness and diversity of ancient
        art around around the world, the galleries of
        this 1912 Beaux Arts building dis play an array
        of ceremonial masks, ritualistic objects,
        textiles, and coins. Some date back to the
        Bronze Age, including Greek, Roman, Middle
        Eastern, and Egyptian artifacts. The preserved
        vases, perfume bottles, and funeral urns are
        particularly striking, as are the Pre-Columbian
        objects, which mainly come from Mesoamerica.
        Islamic, Chinese, and Japanese art is also
        exhibited, and there are several displays of
        sub-Saharan artifacts.

        This collection features European religious
