THREE GUIDED WALKS

Stockholm is a perfect city for walking. Not city’s most appealing districts: discover
only is it flat, but the island layout means residential Södermalm (also known as “Söder”)
many areas feel uncrowded, mak ing it ideal south of the centre, with great views of the city
for stress­free strolling through the streets centre; take in some of Stockholm’s best park­
and thor oughfares. Many of Stockholm’s land on Djurgården – the perfect destination
pedestrian areas also have cycle paths running for a picnic; and finally, explore the commercial
alongside them, so take care to observe the heart of the Swedish capital, following a route
painted signs on the ground, indicating which which takes you past leading department
side of the line you should walk. These guided stores and boutiques, as well as more sedate
walks have been devised to cover some of the churches and monuments.
