Cultural tip As in most of mainland
Europe, Spain uses the continental system of
sizes. Women’s clothes sizes usually range
from 36 (US 6) through to 46 (US 18),
and shoe sizes from 37 (US 5½) to 45
(US 12). For men’s shirts, a size 41 is
a 16-inch collar, 43 is a 17-inch collar,
and 45 is an 18-inch collar.
