Rey and Luke
Rey’s journey will be one
of the main threads in The
Last Jedi. After arriving on the
watery world of Ahch-To at
the end of The Force Awakens,
and with the power of the
Force now growing inside
her, she has finally found the
long-lost Luke Skywalker.
The fabled Jedi is not how
she imagined him, however.
Weary and haunted by his
failure to restore the Jedi
Knights, and having lost
Kylo Ren to the dark side, he
has retreated into exile. He
now lives a simple existence,
surviving on the food that
nature provides, with only the
local wildlife for company.
Yet the Resistance
desperately needs Luke’s help.
Can Rey convince him to
rejoin the fight as she pursues
her own Jedi training? And
what does Luke mean when
he says “It’s time for the Jedi
to end”?
