Take command in an
outfit fit for a Vice Admiral
f there’s one person who knows
it’s never too late to become a
IStar Wars fan, it’s Swiss cosplayer
Luxia. Encouraged by a friend
to attend a saga-centric movie
marathon in 2015, Luxia quickly
became enamored with the fi lms
and the accompanying community.
“Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017)
was the fi rst Star Wars movie I
actually managed to see in the
72 / STAR WARS INSIDER
cinema on opening weekend—and
it was a revelation,” proclaims the
Swiss native. “I’m absolutely in love
with the energy and dedication the
fans have for this franchise!”
Cosplaying holds a particular
appeal for Luxia, who explains that,
“When I was young, dressing up in
old clothes and self-made costumes
was always my very favorite thing to
play.” Upon realizing that there was
a whole galaxy full of wardrobes out
there to explore, she embraced the
hobby with a reinvigorated spirit,
and since 2015 has managed to
craft 13 different cosplay outfi ts,
with 3 additional costumes also
nearing completion.
