Thereisnotenoughevidencetochargeanyofthesuspects
withthecrime,soinsteadwemustdeterminethemostlikely
perpetrator.WecannotignorethefactthatRichard,afteryears
of loyalty to his brother, was willing to usurp his own nephews
in order to gain power after being appointed their guardian.
Thesearenottheactionsofatrustworthyorhonourableman,
this was a man who was hungry for power and willing to
do anything to obtain it. Not only did he have the most to
gainfromtheirdeaths,buthealsohadtheaccessand
opportunitytodoitatthetimetheywerelastseen.
Richardbeinginnocentofthemurdersreliesona
belief about his character, which is impossible
toprove–withthecoldhardfactsalone,
the blame lies squarely with the
usurper king.
