Exploring the Czech Republic
One of Europe’s most beautiful capital cities, Prague
is undoubtedly the highlight of a visit to the Czech
Republic. Away from this bustling, cosmopolitan city,
however, the tranquil Bohemian countryside is home to
dozens of castles and historic towns, whose appearance
has remained virtually unchanged for hundreds of years.
Most of the main sights of interest can be visited on a day
trip from Prague, and are easily reached from the capital
by good public transportation and road networks.
Slightly farther afield, Český Krumlov merits at least Prague’s Charles Bridge and the buildings of
a couple of days’ exploration. the Old Town
