Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen
The museum is named after two art experts, FJO Boijmans and
DG van Beuningen, who presented their own private collections
to the town. The museum thus ended up with one of the finest
collections in the Netherlands. Although it is particularly renowned
for its unique collection of old masters, the museum also represents
all aspects of art and design, from medieval works by Jan van Eyck
to imaginative exhibitions of contemporary artists’ work.
