That ‘somebody’ was HyperPro, a Dutch-
based company that knows an awful lot
about suspension. The new springs are
about 20mm shorter than the originals and
possibly a little more sophisticated in the
progressive manner in which they work.
They’re a straight swap so you don’t have
to muck around with new spacers at either
the front or back but there are some traps for
young players.
PULLING ON THE OVERALLS
Having spent around four hours at the rear
shock/damper end of the bike, I’m now of
the view that RE starts its assembly from the
actual shock absorber and builds everything
