HIGH VOLTAGE AT HOME
Here, the Serbian-American scientist Nikola Tesla (see
pp.60–61) casually sits by one of his inventions, the
Tesla coil, as it sends powerful bursts of electricity
through the air. It worked at a very high frequency
to produce extremely high voltages and transmitted
electricity wirelessly.
