     What’s the smallest



     living reptile?





     The miniature chameleon
     species Brookesia micra

     was first discovered
     in Madagascar
     in 2014. It is only

     1 in (29 mm) long
     from nose to tail.







     Chameleons  can  change the color
     of their skin, depending on their mood.   Each eye can move
     Spotted patterns appear when Brookesia   independently, but
     micra is angry or stressed. This can also    also work together to
     help them to merge with their surroundings   track prey accurately.
     and keep hidden from predators and prey.


        FAST FACTS
      The largest living reptile is the saltwater crocodile,
      which can reach a whopping 18 ft (5.5 m). This is the
      same length as lining up 190 mini chameleons.
