Conserving gorillas
Three things
to know
about gorillas
The collective noun for a
group of gorillas is called
a band or a troop, with up
to 30 members.
Gorillas are the largest of
the primates. Us humans
share 98 per cent of our
DNA with these majestic
great apes.
Grooming is an intensely
social affair! Gorillas will
comb the parasites out
of each other’s fur which
strengthens the bonds
between them.
