Read the dialogue below. After completing this chapter, practice this dialogue using
your own information.

JUAN : Pabili nga ho ng mangga.
Please let me buy some mangoes.

TINDERA : Aling mangga?
Which mangoes?

JUAN : Iyon hong hinog na mangga. Magkano ho?
The ripe mangoes. How much?

TINDERA : Sitenta pesos isang kilo. Matamis ’yan!
Seventy pesos a kilo. That’s sweet!

JUAN : Meron ho bang tawad?
Is there a discount?

TINDERA : May tawad. Sisenta pesos na lang.
There is a discount. [You can pay] just sixty pesos.
JUAN : Heto ho ang isang daang piso.
Here is a hundred pesos.

TINDERA : Heto ho ang sukli niyo.
Here is your change.

JUAN : Salamat ho.
Thank you.
