Two helpful words to know are susunod (next) and dapat (should). Study how
these words are used in the following questions and answers:

TANONG : Anong oras ang alis ng susunod na bus papuntang Batangas?
What time is the departure of the next bus for Batangas?

SAGOT : Alas-siyete ang alis ng susunod na bus papuntang Batangas.
The arrival of the next bus going to Batangas is seven o’clock.

TANONG : Anong oras ang dating ng susunod na eroplano mula sa Las Vegas?
What time will the next plane from Las Vegas arrive?

SAGOT : Alas-tres kinse ang dating ng susunod na eroplano mula sa Las Vegas.
The next plane from Las Vegas arrives at three fifteen.
TANONG : Anong oras ako dapat umalis ng bahay?

What time should I leave the house?
SAGOT : Dapat kang umalis ka ng bahay nang alas-otso.

You should leave the house at eight o’clock.

Study the following information. Then think of possible situations and the
questions and answers which may arise from such a situation. Use the first situation
as an example. Classroom learners can work in pairs while individual learners
should write the answers and questions and try to approximate a role-play.
