Read the dialogue below. Review the words and phrases you can use in describing a
person. After completing this chapter, practice this dialogue using your own
information.

MARIA : Magandang hapon. Puwede ho bang makausap si Nena?
Good afternoon. Can I speak to Nena?

NENA : Si Nena nga ito. Sino po sila?
This is Nena. Who is this please?
MARIA : Nena, si Maria ito. Ako ang susundo sa iyo sa paliparan ng Detroit.

Nena, this is Maria. I am the person who will pick you up at the airport in
Detroit.
NENA : Paano kita makikilala?

How will I recognize you?
MARIA : Nakasuot ho ako ng pulang blusa at itim na palda. Payat ako at
matangkad. Ikaw?

I am wearing a red blouse and a black skirt. I am slim and tall. And you?
NENA : Ako nama’y nakasuot ng kulay abong bestida. Mahaba at tuwid ang
buhok ko. Maliit ako at medyo malaki ang pangangatawan.

I am wearing a gray dress. My hair is long and straight. I am petite and a
little bit heavy.
MARIA : Sige. Magkita na lang po tayo bukas.
