I admit it, when a fellow pilot asked me if I could
do most of the building of his new jet Odyssey, I
had a hard time. Can a complete package, i.e. a
multi-coloured painted full GfK model with 2.32 m
length and 2.19 m wingspan, cockpit, electric lan-
ding gear, brakes and wheels, tanks, double-wal-
led thrust tube and small parts for be worth a list
price of 2,339 euros? I know fellow pilots who are
highly satisfied with the model, others are disap-
pointed. I would like to try this as someone who
has flown a good 25 jets from various manufactu-
rers has built to illuminate objectively.

The first impression
The model is delivered well packed and arrived safely. Af-
ter unpacking, however, you will soon realize that the model
does not come close to the quality standards of other manu-
facturers on the market. But of course, this cannot be the ca-
se either, as it costs practically half or even less. For example,
the connectors for the wings, tailplane and rudder have play
and are made of simple thin aluminium. The tailplane can still
be moved forward after screwing. The paint flakes off easily
in a few places, the

backward 3 mm after gluing them in.
