Make Bread Pudding
                                                           1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 2-qt.
                                                           baking dish.

              The vanilla extract in your pantry is
              most likely from Madagascar, the world’s
              largest producer. It’s often labeled
              “Madagascar Bourbon vanilla extract”                    VANILLA
              because it’s from the Bourbon Islands                     SUGAR
              in the western Indian Ocean
              (no connection to Kentucky stills!).
              For Bread Pudding
                 3  eggs, lightly beaten
                 3  cups milk
                 1  cup white sugar                                  small sharp knife, split

                 2  Tbsp. packed light brown sugar

                ½  tsp. cinnamon

                   into cubes (about 9 cups)
                 1  cup raisins                                        in a cool dry place.
              For Vanilla Sauce                                      (It keeps indefinitely.)
               1¼  cups milk
                ½  cup packed light brown sugar
                 1  egg
                 2  Tbsp. butter
                 1  Tbsp. flour
                    Pinch cinnamon
                    Pinch salt
                 1  Tbsp. Madagascar Bourbon
                   pure vanilla extract
