4:00pm: I get a call from Mickey letting me know about a bit
of breaking news that will be hitting the following morning.
Normally, we would turn this into a breaking news segment to
air on YouTube the moment the announcement hits starwars.
com, but with the gear being gone and Andi heading out to
pack for London, we can’t do one. C’est la vie!

Thursday
6:00am: The news about Jon Favreau running the live-action
Star Wars TV series hits early in the morning. I’m slightly
relieved we didn’t do a breaking news, because now I can
recap this story as the lead story for the show next week.
8:00am: I arrive to an email from Disney Parks asking if we
want to announce the new Star Wars Nite at Disneyland next 03 / (Left to right) Tony Sherg, John Harper, and Kyle Kao.

Recap Mark getting his star and that’s three stories. NEWS DONE! Meanwhile, Harper is in L.A. with Mickey touring the
Gentle Giant’s studios, grabbing B-roll and interviews for a
segment we’re holding for later this year.
2:30pm: In our second bi-weekly show meeting, we discuss
the week ahead. I go over our potential running order. I go
back to my desk and write the first draft of next week’s script,

because—for only the third or fourth time during the entire
show’s run—we actually have enough solid news to write the
show ahead of Monday morning.

Friday
8:00am: I get to the office early to watch Andi’s live stream

with Daisy. Andi does a fantastic job, and I take an early lunch.
4:00pm: Kyle returns from L.A. and I look at the raw footage
of Mark Hamill’s Hollywood Walk of Fame interviews with
Hamill, Harrison Ford, George Lucas, and Kathleen Kennedy.
I duck out early for the weekend but also to pack. I leave
04 / Kyle Kao prepares the studio for an interview shoot. tomorrow morning for a whole week!
