The cow’s milk is full of nutrients to help the calf
grow strong. It also helps protect the calf from sick-
ness and disease.
If the mother is a dairy cow, the calf will be taken
off its mother’s milk after a few days. The dairy
farmer needs to sell the milk she produces. The
