        COMPLEMENTARY
        COLORS

        Highly saturated complementary
        colors create a strong visual
        impact. Very vibrant color is
        relatively rare in nature, but
        you can increase saturation
        in post-production software.
        Warm colors tend to be visually
        dominant, so try to balance
        the colors equally, or use more
        cool colors than warm ones.

        The vivid purple of the thistle pops out against the blurred, soft-focus         ISO
        complementary yellow background. The photo would have had less   P    f/5.6  1/250   160
