LENSES
Digital cameras come and go, but a good lens is something you’ll treasure and
keep. Ultimately, the lens determines the final quality of your photos. A great lens
fitted to a consumer camera will produce better results than a poor lens fitted
to a professional camera. Choosing a lens is a case of finding the right balance
between what you can afford and its capabilities. Reviews that clearly describe
a lens’s strengths and weaknesses can be very helpful.
LENS FEATURES
The specifications of lenses vary according to their price 1
and position within a manufacturer’s range, but they all
share certain features, such as a focus ring and filter thread.
What distinguishes topflight lenses from the rest are 2
features such as distance scales. Although a lens is perfectly
functional without these extra features, they do add to the
experience and ease of shooting. Expensive lenses feature 3
better quality optics and AF motors.
