Tokyo is notoriously hard for visitors to find the symbols listed in the key below. When
their way around, due to the scarcity of map references are given, the first number
street names and complex numbering tells you which Street Finder map to turn
system for buildings (see p377). The Tokyo to, and the letter and number that follow
sights covered in this guide, plus Tokyo refer to the grid reference. The map below
hotels (see p302), restaurants shows the area of Tokyo covered by the
(see pp324–6), and many of the city’s six Street Finder maps. The Street Finder
key landmarks are plotted on the maps index (see pp119–21) lists street names,
on the following pages. Trans portation buildings, and stations. For a map of the
points are also marked, and indicated by Tokyo subway, see the inside back cover.
